Tuesday 23rd February, saw Alexander Accountancy run the first of the 2016 workshops established to help small businesses. Although auto enrolment may not appear to be the most exciting topic, the event was still very well supported.

The next workshop on 17th March 2016 about “Planning for Growth” is expected to be extremely popular and early booking is recommended.

The workshop gave genuine auto enrolment advice to clients, professional partners, individuals implementing their own solutions and clients of other accountants. This open handed approach to helping people without seeking any commitment in return is a simple demonstration of the Alexander Accountancy philosophy.

A brief overview concluded with de bunking some of the Urban Myths and misinformation that is circulating regarding office holders, contracts for services, contracts of employment etc. and how these overlap with tax planning. If you are unsure please contact Richard or David, they have gone round these circles so many times they no longer get dizzy.

This was followed by an in depth review covering the criteria, practical considerations and actions required. Emphasising that this is not only a compliance and payroll issue, but also requires regulated financial advice together with professional guidance regarding contracts and hand books.
