Thanks to everyone that attended our recent Network for charities meeting, sponsored by Kings Office Supplies and Alexander Accountancy.
16 local businesses registered for the event all raising money and making connections, while 16 is good, we would like to see more in the room, not only can we raise more money for local charities (always a good thing). But, more businesses, means more connections which leads to everyone doing more business so it’s a definite win-win.
A special mention goes to our guest speaker Hannah Justice on behalf of the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity for an excellent and informative presentation. It’s a remarkable service, one we all hope we’ll never need, but reassuring to know that the pilot, helicopter, paramedics and staff are there just in case.
All the money raised from the meetings goes to the Air Ambulance and one other local charity, this time the beneficiary was the Burton & Derby Hospital Charity.
If you haven’t visited a Network for charities meeting yet, we would encourage you to do so, who knows, your next strategic business partner or client could be there waiting to meet you.
The events alternate between breakfast 8.00-10.00 am and lunchtime 12.00-2.00 pm. The next event will be a breakfast meeting on Wednesday 7th September at The Riverside Hotel in Branston near Burton on Trent.
