Alexander Accountancy’s Big Celebration and the introduction of our fourth partner.
In June Alexander Accountancy and their friends, family and many other contacts celebrated a number of anniversaries, milestones and achievements, with an evening of live music provided by local band The Last Of Our Kind.
40th Anniversary
The business’s founder, David Alexander, originally started as a sole trader working from home on 1st June 1984.
20th Anniversary
As the business grew it was incorporated as D Alexander & Co Ltd in 2004. And contrary to some speculation, the event was not to announce David’s retirement. Although he has reduced his involvement and stake in the business, but is continuing to work, is still available for meetings, and indeed developing other interests.
10th Anniversary
Wayne Penlington started working with David on a part time basis in 2009, and together they focused on growing the business. In 2014 Wayne gave up his previous position in industry becoming a full time Director and co-owner. It is also when the business was re-branded as Alexander Accountancy.
Another milestone
Richard Faulkner first became involved with the business in 2013 and was employed as a trainee in 2015. His progress, both academically and practically, was very impressive and rapid, so in 2020 he was given the opportunity to become the Company’s third Director and co-owner. With the celebration of this has being delayed due to the pandemic.
Our final announcement
Is the appointment of Phil Brailsford as our latest Director and co-owner. Phil may have only started with Alexander Accountancy in November 2021, but he brought with him a wealth of knowledge and experience from his previous roles; and has become a crucial and trusted member of the team.
Not only that
The Company took the opportunity to thank many people who have helped us over the years. Making us one of the go to independent accountants in Burton-on-Trent, having a staff of twelve in the accounts department and able to provide a full range of accountancy services and expert business advice.
