Businesses are being encouraged to join the next Alexander Accountancy-supported Networking for Charities event, which brings together companies from across Derby and Burton to combine professional networking with charitable fundraising.

The final Networking for Charities gathering of 2025 will take place on Wednesday November 19 from 12pm to 2pm at Harrison’s Hub, Pride Park Stadium, Derby.

The session will include information presentations from Derby County Community Trust and Kings Office Supplies.

For 2026, the first event is scheduled for January 21, with monthly events planned for February 18 and March 18, all being held at the same venue.

The most recent session on October 15 featured a charity presentation by Lara Best of Love4Live Charity and Lauren Richards from Derby Pride Academy. The charities each received donations of £75 from Networking for Charities.

Amber Smith and Sophie Whysall attended on behalf of Alexander Accountancy.

Annual support

Other updates from the group include Louise Webb of Networking for Charities partner Kings Office Supplies recently completing the Peak District Challenge Walk.

Louise, along with Josh Webb, walked more than 50 miles in the dark and rain, raising £1567.98.

As a result the following charities will receive £522.66 each: DCCT Active Choices programme; Children First Derby, for Christmas activity for supported families; and Derby & Burton hospitals Charity for the Derby Neonatal Unit.

Director Richard Faulkner commented: “Alexander Accountancy is a long term supporter of Networking for Charities so it is always good to see local businesses coming together not just to network and grow their connections, but to support vital charitable causes in our community.

“We have welcomed a number of new faces at the Networking for Charities event and we hope to see more at the November event and sessions planned to run into 2026.”
