What drew you to accountancy and what do you enjoy most about your role at the firm?
I joined Dains Accountants as an apprentice in 1990, which is also where I first worked with Wayne Penlington, and the rest is history.
I enjoy the problem solving, attention to detail and producing the accounts. I like to get to know the clients and work with them to meet their needs and deliver the management information as required and in a format that works for them.
I worked with Alexander Accountancy in a previous role at Ground Solutions and liked that they had a very family friendly feel.
Is there a professional achievement or qualification you are particularly proud of?
I am proud to be a Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (MAAT), which has been the foundation of my career to date.
I have two grown up sons so spending time with family is very important to me. I enjoy meeting up with friends, eating out and going to the cinema.
If you could give one piece of advice to someone just starting their career with Alexander Accountancy, what would it be?
Not so much advice but to say that everyone at Alexander Accountancy is very friendly, supportive and helpful.
