What drew you to accountancy and what do you enjoy most about your role at the firm?
My journey to accounting has been an unexpected but rewarding one. Before starting college, I had always envisioned myself pursuing architecture or interior design.
However, due to financial considerations, I needed to choose a different path. What initially felt like a compromise turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
As I immersed myself in my studies, I discovered a genuine passion for accounting and the opportunities it offers for learning, problem-solving, and growth.
Looking back, I’m grateful for the path I took, as it has shaped both my professional goals and who I am today.
I am especially proud of earning a double degree in accounting, as it required a great deal of hard work, discipline, and commitment. It has provided me with a strong foundation in the profession and motivated me to continue growing in my career.
Currently, I am aiming for the CPA licensure examination in the Philippines, and I look forward to achieving this next professional milestone.
Outside of work, what hobbies or interests keep you busy?
Lately, I’ve been getting back into running and lifting weights to keep myself active between work.
If you could give one piece of advice to someone just starting their career with Alexander Accountancy, what would it be?
Stay open-minded and never be afraid to ask questions. Working with Alexander Accountancy has taught me the value of curiosity and continuous learning. Every challenge and new task has been an opportunity to expand my knowledge, develop new skills and gain a deeper understanding of our profession.
What’s something that might surprise people about you or your background?
I love playing badminton with my family and friends. It’s a lot of fun and a great way to stay active! I even trained with a professional badminton coach just to improve my game.
