What drew you to accountancy and what do you enjoy most about your role at the firm?
I chose accountancy because I have a passion for working with numbers and assisting businesses in understanding their financial health. What I appreciate most about my role at the firm is the diverse range of clients and challenges, which keeps the work engaging and fulfilling. It feels rewarding to contribute to the success of clients while continuously enhancing my skills within a supportive team.
Is there a professional achievement or qualification you are particularly proud of?
I am currently working towards completing my Certified Management Accountant licence exam, which I find both demanding and satisfying. Another achievement I am proud of is gaining knowledge of UK accounting standards. These experiences are strengthening my professional abilities in finance and accounting.
Outside of work, what hobbies or interests keep you busy?
Outside of work, going out with friends. It is a great way to unwind. Cinematography is another big passion of mine. There is something really satisfying about capturing a moment just right and I enjoy color grading videos. It helps me slow down, get creative, and take a break from the usual day-to-day stuff. Both hobbies keep me inspired and give me space to breathe.
If you could give one piece of advice to someone just starting their career with Alexander Accountancy, what would it be?
My advice for someone starting at Alexander Accountancy is to remain curious and open to learning. Embrace every chance to grow, whether it is from coworkers, clients, or new tasks. Since the accounting field is constantly evolving, being adaptable is crucial. Never hesitate to ask questions or seek assistance when needed. Building strong relationships within the team will foster your development and enhance your experience.
What is something that might surprise people about you or your background?
A lot of people are surprised to find out that, even though I am focused on my career, I am also really into photography and films. I have always had this dream of living and working in another country, and that is what keeps me motivated to keep learning more about UK accounting. Having creative hobbies on the side helps me look at things differently and brings in fresh ideas. Honestly, it just makes life feel more balanced and enjoyable.
