What drew you to accountancy and what do you enjoy most about your role at the firm?
I always enjoyed maths at school so working with numbers was my preference. After completing work experience in a bank and deciding that was not for me, accountancy was the next option. I have worked in accountancy, both practice and industry since finishing my A levels.

Is there a professional achievement or qualification you are particularly proud of?
I am particularly proud of my accounting qualification from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, of which I am now a fellow. I am very proud of the letters after my name: FCCA.

Outside of work, what hobbies or interests keep you busy?
Outside of work I am a lifetime member of the National Trust and love walking in the nature parks and visiting the old properties. When not out walking you will find me with my nose in a book. I also love spending time with my family.

If you could give one piece of advice to someone just starting their career with Alexander Accountancy, what would it be?
Do not be afraid to ask questions or to challenge senior members of staff.
