Businesses from across Derby and Burton gathered for the latest Alexander Accountancy backed Networking for Charities event, combining professional networking with charitable fundraising.

Held at Pride Park Stadium, Derby on March 18, the event, led by Kings Office Supplies raised £200, which was divided between Derby County Community Trust and Derby and Burton Hospital Trust.

The event featured a presentation from Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre who provide holidays at their site in Skegness for Derbyshire children living in poverty, offering experiences that many families would otherwise be unable to afford.

Attendees also heard from Cyber Resilience Centre, who delivered the business presentation. As the cyber-crime prevention unit for the police, they also offer free services to SMEs, helping businesses protect themselves against cyber threats.

Director Richard Faulkner said: “We’re delighted with how our Networking for Charities events continue to grow. It’s wonderful to see local businesses coming together, not just to network, but to make a real difference to charities doing crucial work in our community.”

Alexander Accountancy remains committed to strengthening local business connections through its programme of networking and information events, whilst simultaneously supporting charitable organisations throughout the region.

The next Networking for Charities event will take place on Wednesday April 22 from 12:00-14:00 at Harrison’s Hub, Pride Park Stadium, Derby.
