Alexander’s Business Club

The ABC of successful strategies for local businesses.

Through 2017 we will be exploring the life cycle of a business in a series of bi monthly meetings. These meetings will go beyond the normal tips and advice that you can get at most events, offering first hand advice and opinions from local businesses that are at different stages of the journey. The meetings will be hosted by the sponsors:

Midweb Services, Alexander Accountancy, Worldpay and Else Solicitors

16th March 2017 – The Conception of a Business Expert advice, questions & answers presented by The Sponsors Panel

Not only ideal for those thinking of starting a business, but also established businesses wanting to develop new strategies and gain new impetus. Examining what you want to do, why you want to do it, how you will fund it and how best to achieve your goals.

18th May 2017 – The Birth of your Business         Hosted by Midweb Services

Deals with starting a new business or a new project, and will be relevant for those in the first three years of their particular cycle. Getting it off the ground, finding the help you need, making it work and surviving those critical years when the risk of failure is at its greatest.

20th July 2017 – The Adolescent Business            Hosted by Alexander Accountancy

At some stage a lot of business owners feel they are no longer running the business and that they have become a slave to it. This is the point where the business needs to grow up and develop its own identity so that the owner or owners can take back control of their lives.

21st September 2017 – Maturing the Business     Hosted by Worldpay

So far you have thought about the business, got it off the ground and got it to stand on its own feet. What next? How do you make it independent, make yourself redundant and maximise the value of your efforts? What do you need to do next?

16th November 2017 – Exiting the Business           Hosted by Else Solicitors

How do you leave a business, guarantee its continuity and maximise your return? What strategies should you have in place and how do you protect yourself? When should you start planning this? The last question is the easy one, at least three years in advance.

5 reasons you should come along?

  1. There is no formal membership, subscription, annual membership fee or meeting fee. You can attend the meetings you want and pick the topics that are relevant to you.
  2. We meet from 5.30pm in the St Andrews Room at Branston Golf & Country Club for an evening presentation, so the meeting does not disrupt your normal working day.
  3. The speakers themselves are on the business journey, have relevant firsthand knowledge, and real time experiences that are ongoing.
  4. The mix of people in the room will be freely offering a wealth of advice, knowledge, opinions, perspectives and support that is not normally available within a single business or from a single advisor.
  5. There will also be food and drink, with a hot buffet, finger food and soft beverages included as part of the evening.

Attendance is by invitation only so please RSVP to book your place:
