Alexander Accountancy has raised £7,750 for YMCA Burton, demonstrating its continued commitment to supporting homeless services across the region.

During the 2025/26 financial year the firm hosted a number of fundraising events including an annual Charity Quiz Night, Crazy Golf Day and Burton Rugby Club fundraising event which all brought together businesses from across Burton-on-Trent and East Staffordshire to raise funds for the charity.

Fundraising also included a sleep out challenge undertaken by client manager Lisa Aylett, who raised £1,100 by spending the night sleeping rough at St Modwen’s Church.

Paula Senior, fundraising and partnerships manager at YMCA Burton fundraising and partnerships manager Paula Senior said: “Alexander Accountancy have been supporters of YMCA Burton for many years. They’re at the heart of our local community and exemplify what it means to be a socially responsible business. What makes them a dream partner is their whole-team approach. They don’t just write a cheque; they actively organise fundraising events and every member of staff is motivated to raise funds and awareness.”

The funds raised will enable YMCA Burton to deliver vital services through their Life Change Fund, including family mediation, counselling, client activity days, and food bank donations.

Alexander Accountancy chairman David Alexander said: “Our vision is to not just provide financial expertise, but contribute to the prosperity, wellbeing and foster local connections across the communities we serve.

“We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved with YMCA Burton this year. Raising £7,750 demonstrates the power of our whole team coming together for a cause we all believe in.

“The work YMCA Burton does through their Life Change Fund, from family mediation to counselling and food bank support is truly transformative. We’re committed to continuing this partnership throughout 2026/27.”

The business will continue its partnership with YMCA Burton in 2026/27, with plans to host the annual Charity Quiz Night and Crazy Golf Day.
