The latest Alexander Accountancy-supported Networking for Charities event brought together businesses from across Derby and Burton to combine professional networking with charitable fundraising.
The most recent session, held at Pride Park Stadium, Derby, on September 17, demonstrated the power of community collaboration, welcoming representatives from over a dozen local organizations.
The attendees included Essential Print Services, Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity, Hardy Signs, Keelys Solicitors, Children First Derby, Derby County Community Trust and Upbeat Communities, among others.
Guest speakers included Michael Gladwell from Upbeat Communities & Upbeat Clean, alongside Blue Hardy and Chloe Waring from Hardy Signs, who delivered informative presentations about their respective organisations and charitable work.
The networking session successfully raised £200, with £100 each donated to Derby County Community Trust and Upbeat Communities, a Derby-based charity that welcomes refugees and asylum seekers.
Director Richard Faulkner commented: “It was wonderful to see so many new faces at the Networking for Charities event.
“The response has been fantastic, and it is encouraging to see local businesses coming together not just to network and grow their connections, but to actively support vital charitable causes in our community.
“Alexander Accountancy is a long term supporter of Networking for Charities, as it perfectly embodies our belief that truly exceptional accountancy goes beyond financial expertise. It is about being invested in the prosperity and wellbeing of the community we call home.”
Alexander Accountancy actively fosters local connections through regular networking and information events, creating valuable opportunities for clients while strengthening the regional business ecosystem and supporting charitable causes.
The next Networking for Charities event will take place on Wednesday October 15 from 12:00-14:00 at Harrison’s Hub, Pride Park Stadium, Derby. The event will feature a charity presentation from Lara Best of Love4Live Charity, business spotlight presentations, and further fundraising opportunities.
