We recently mediated a management buy-out and put together business plans and cash-flow forecasts that projected an achievable growth target of over 100%.
Last week we concluded a capital gains tax enquiry relating to the incorporation of goodwill; where their previous accountant was failing to manage the enquiry properly and the individual was being threatened with huge penalties. Alexander Accountancy re-evaluated the entire enquiry and established a capital loss. This not only cleared the liability being pursued, but we also used the loss to offset a separate capital gain and achieved a tax repayment of over £14,000.
